On our last day of school before Christmas Break, students will enjoy a day that begins with our traditional pancake breakfast. Teachers become chefs and serve a scrumptious meal of pancakes, sausage, and juice. This tradition began during our first year and is always a hit among our students.
After breakfast, we will discuss and learn about the symbols of Christmas and enjoy an ornament making session led by Mrs. Tayloe and Mrs. Savage.
After lunch, Heyward Hall will be transformed into a global adventure as middle school students present information about chosen countries from around the world. Projects will include fabulous information about life in these countries and will highlight the Christmas celebrations and traditions held in each country. Other highlights include language translations and a sample of a cultural food.
Chapel will be held at a special time to accommodate our altered schedule and students will enjoy the usual format of fun with Mrs. Johnson. We will end our day with a Christmas Carol sing-a-long.
